Dedicated cost modeling specialists will support category teams, which enables fast model development, standard quality and upgrades over time


WHAT YOU’LL DO  

An Activation Manager supports the digital procurement pods during onboarding, ideation and application of tools to drive impact. This role brings the digital tool development team together with the procurement category team to develop and implement the pipeline of cost savings initiatives. This individual is also a personal coach for team members and an innovator who constantly seeks improvement and builds high performing teams.

Additionally, they will develop concrete product improvements within our value engineering approach and target costing projects and you’ll contribute to creating innovative product ideas. 

This role will focus to improve productivity pipeline building and strategic sourcing effectiveness by utilizing the digital products and services delivered by the Digital Procurement Team.

This role  will lead a team of Cost Modeling Associates  as well as coordinating the collection, analysis and reporting of data from various sources to support strategic sourcing, supplier engagement and reporting needs within the Procurement pod in support of the company’s vision.


  • Provides broader PMO support
  • Works collaboratively with the Cost Model analysts to build and develop category cost models aligned with the Procurement organization’s sourcing calendar
  • Works cross-functionally with category buyers and managers to evaluate total cost of ownership productivity opportunities within the category
  • Defines and monitor key productivity indicators leveraging data analytics techniques
  • Owns and tracks measurable impact of the program
  • Keeps category teams accountable
  • Supports category teams with coaching on how to leverage DR Assets/Tools
  • Ensures that the tools are being rolled out and used
  • Provides required training for the category teams
  • Tracks number of active users of digital tools


WHO YOU ARE  

  • Master of Science in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or other engineering fields
  • 8+ years of experience in product development and/or procurement related functions, including product cost optimization, product design, value engineering, DFMA, R&D prototyping, supplier management, negotiation, target cost setting, strategic sourcing
  • Demonstrated analytic and quantitative skills with the ability to structure and solve problems
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively with people at all levels in an organization
  • Skilled in building relationships and navigating through organizations
  • Demonstrates team leadership – Experienced in assessing how the team is doing and drive necessary actions to improve
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively – both verbally and in writing – in English
  • Strong business acumen
  • Willingness to travel
