At Ericsson, we have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic team as a Planning and Engineering specialist. In this role, you will be entrusted with the critical tasks of service and resource coordination, project management, and overall execution. This is your chance to influence the network and technology evolution to ensure the cost-effective design is in line with Ericsson's global strategy. Representing Ericsson's core values, this role offers you the responsibility to impact our capacity management, performance management and play a part in post-incident analysis as part of our Problem Management process.
What you will do:
The Engineer - PS Design is typically assigned to work for Design related activities in a managed services operations organization. The position responsible will be required to have:• Good understanding and experience on 3GPP standards and PS Core protocols• Sound level domain knowledge around 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G, VoWifi.• In-depth product knowledge of Cisco/Huawei/Nokia/Ericsson(At-least 2) Packet Core N/W Elements• Configuration and troubleshooting experience of Packet Core Network Elements like SGSN, GGSN, PCRF, DNS, SGW, PGW, EPDG, AAA• Knowledge of VOLTE/IMS related configuration in MME/GGSN• Configuration knowledge of creation of OSPF, IP pool addition, OCS/DRA/PCRF definition, LAC Barring, CSFB, SRVCC, APN creation, BSC/RNC migration, TAI-DB management• Understanding of SS7 network, GPRS call flow, 3G call flow, EPC/LTE/volte call flows and RF network of GPRS.• Understanding of Gb, Gr, Gi, Gn, IUPS, Gx, Gy, Gz, S1, S6a, S11, SGs, S10 , Gi configuration & integration.• Understanding of Deep Packet Inspection configurations.• Should be well versed with important PACO related KPIs, their analysis & improvement plans.• Good understanding of Service Awareness and differentiated charging related concepts.• Knowledge of Latest Paco Nodes/Technologies - CUPS, F5, Cloud, 5G NSA, 5G SA, VoWifi
The skills you bring:• Good understanding of 2G/3G/4G/5G/VoWifi• Hands on experience at Huawei/CISCO/Ericsson/Nokia Packet Core Elements (SGSN/MME/GGSN/DNS/EPDG/AAA/PCRF)• Basic understanding of CS Core/IMS Network• Basic knowledge of SS7/IP signaling/SIP/Diam/TCP/UDP• Basic understanding of PS Core & VoWifi Performance KPI's • Basic understanding of Call flows and regular operational activities• Experience on N/W Elements of at-least 2 OEMs (Nokia/Cisco/Huawei/E///)
