Tech Associate
Provides basic support and problem resolution on installing, supporting, upgrading and maintaining hardware and software for clients.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assisting with application installation, usage, problem-solving and troubleshooting.
  • Configuring, monitoring, and maintaining software applications to ensure the smooth running of operations.
  • Training end-users and providing input to development on user experiences.
  • Providing technical support and assistance to sales and marketing.

This Concentration within Information Technology (IT) offers an exciting mix of strategically aligned assignments, professional development, and the ability to experience and gain exposure to many facets of our organization. Associates can expect to work with financial services technology platforms and tools and will learn the techniques, disciplines and processes that deliver the highest quality results to our customers.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS:

As a Technology Associate in the Early Talent Rotational Program, you will be tasked with utilizing academic knowledge, skills and experience to apply tactics and strategies to solve real business challenges for a mission driven asset management organization.

As part of the 2-year program, you will have the opportunity to experience:

  • Immersive technical and behavioral based training utilizing technologies vital to the industry and organization



ROTATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES:

You will have the opportunity to work in exciting new technology areas including: Java, .NET development, Cloud computing, Software-based infrastructure, Big Data, Tableau, Angular, JS, Python, Robotics, Automation and many more!

1. Analyst Track (Analytics, Systems, Quality, Business, Business Management)

Rotational Associates in this area leverage and further develop their skills in analysis and reporting, working alongside colleagues and Senior Leadership to further TIAA's understanding of structure, policies and to achieve its goals. You will directly contribute to solutions which support sound decision-making. The recommendations you provide will drive achievement of TIAA's technology goals.

Rotational Associates responsibilities in this area may include requirements gathering & documentation, financial oversight & control, portfolio management, business performance measurement, process management, and data analysis from various sources.

2. Engineer Track (Mobile, Web, Infrastructure, Operations, Cloud, Robotics)

Rotational Associates in this area may design, build and test various software technologies and applications programs which align with TIAA needs. Your skills would further develop as you focus your talents in providing critical support as well as efficiency and automation ideas in hardware, software, data or infrastructure components within a specific domain.

Rotational Associates in this area may also provide support with automation modernization by learning, adopting new tools, and technologies that help applications to scale up. Responsibilities in this area may also include operations support for capture & distribution, processing, quality processes and problem resolution. You would work as part of a project team, communicating progress, technical issue reporting, resolution and deployment to production of completed code.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree
  • Graduation date between August 2021 and June 2022



DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Engineering, and any other STEM-related degree
  • Technical skills:
    • Python, Java, Angular, Mobile OS, networking, mainframe technologies like COBOL, CICS and MQ)
    • Microsoft (C#.Net, WPF, WCF, .Net Core)
    • SQL Server (T-SQL) and Oracle
    • Batch and Scripting Languages / Tools (PowerShell / python / Unix shell)
    • Azure Cloud deployments using Azure AD, PowerApps, AI& ML using PowerAutomate, .NET WebApps, Kubernates, Data Bricks, Azure SQL, PostGreSQL and/or MicroServices
    • AWS Cloud deployments using Athena, QuickSight, Terraform, CloudTrail, Kinesis, Kubernates and Kafka
    • CI/CD Pipeline using Jenkins and CloudBees
  • Proficient ability to research, process information, document findings and communicate decisions and thoughts
  • Desire to continuously learn and stay current with technology trends
  • Desire to continuously learn and implement professional development skills
  • Willingness to embrace change and collaborate to foster team success

Potential Salary: $59,500.00 USD

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
