Job Description: Automation Engineer

Responsibilitie:
• Design and develop automated tests usinf UFT to support the overall product testing strategy.• Design, develop, and implement test automation frameworks• Work closely with the Development team, executing automatic test plans and reporting results for assigned software products.• Identification and creation of reusable test data, particularly for automated testing• Thoroughly investigate result changes with the Software Developer, Quality Assurance Engineer and Product Analyst during the software development cycle, for legacy automated tests as well as new implemented ones.• Acquire and manage test data needed for the review of test plans to ensure completeness.• Comply with the Software Lifecycle Management and Product Development process.• Review software requirements documents provide input to improve product effectiveness, integration and usability.• Review and edit user documentation for technical correctness.• Document and report test results in a timely manner using provided systems for test result reporting and defect tracking.• Be responsible for the automation framework.

Qualifications:

Educational Qualification:• BS (Computer Science) or BE or Equivalent

Required Skills and Experience:• Around 3 years of experience as a Quality Assurance automation tester in along with 2 years of experience developing automated test scripts using UFT• Knowledge and experience tools and trends• Experience with test automation frameworks such as; data driven, keyword driven, BPT, functional decomposition, linear, and/or hybrid• Experience writing UI automation using web driver

Technology• At least 2 years of experience with test automation tools, specifically Test complete tool other open source test automation tools• Expert knowledge of database concepts and query languages (SQL) • Experience with source control and configuration management systems such as SVN/CVS/Jenkins/Hudson/Nolio/SONAR/Fisheye/Crucible• Experience in Automating Web based application and Database (SQL and Oracle server)

Soft Skills• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills• Successful teamwork experience and demonstrated leadership abilities are required

Candidates should be flexible / willing to work across this delivery landscape which includes and not limited to Agile Applications Development, Support and Deployment.

Test Consultants are concerned with the independent verification and validation of the products produced by the development process. Testing is carried out in each phase: the requirements are tested by an acceptance test, the system design (analysis and design) by a system and integration test, and the programs by a program and module test.

Required Skills and Experience:

You design and develop more complex tests and non-functional tests. You perform many of the roles required of a software testing project, through which you acquire a full testing lifecycle experience. Typically you perform these roles as a senior member in a wider team. You act as a stream leader with technical delivery ownership within a limited number of technology areas. You contribute to bid or client proposals based on your technological expertise. You have delivery ownership and guide individuals and groups towards desired outcomes. You also actively participate in at least one community.
• Certification: Should have SE Level 1 and seeking level 2, 6 - 8 (2 years min relevant experience in the role) Bachelor's degree
• Should be proficient in Business Analysis, Business Knowledge, Testing Lifecycle, Testing Expertise, Testing Techniques, Testing Management, Architecture Knowledge, Technical Solution Design and Quality Management.
