Job Summary
Grande Cheese Company in Juda, WI is searching for an innovative and organized candidate to fill our available Engineer I - Reliability. In this role you will apply standard engineering techniques to assist with performing reliability studies and calculations for component/systems/processes. You will prepare diagrams, charts, drawings, calculations and reports to define reliability problems and make recommendations for improvements. You will provide project support for implementation of capital and other reliability related improvements involving the following major areas: cheese and whey processing, wastewater, buildings/facilities, specifications, utilities, equipment, electrical, automation and controls, contract administration, startup, and commissioning. This position will collaborate with maintenance, production, safety, quality, and sanitation departments to define scope of projects including: project objectives, timelines, budgets, resources, and task.
What you need to be considered for the role:
- Bachelors Degree in a related Engineering field required.
- Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose problems and recommend improvements.
- Ability to interpret a variety of technical information, instructions and details and utilize to guide methods and procedures.
- Planning and prioritization skills, innovation, multi-tasking, goal setting, analytical skills, adaptable, continuously looking to raise the bar for progress.
- Ability to understand, influence, drive, and negotiate with internal and external customers.
- Strong written, verbal and presentation skills.
- PC skills including Windows, Microsoft Office Suite and Engineering and design software
- Strong knowledge in mathematical concepts such as fractions, ratios, value analysis, thermodynamics, to resolve engineering designs and problems.
Preferred:
- Related engineering internship experience preferred.
- Previous internship experience preferred.
- General experience working with reliability and maintenance, preferably in food processing is desirable.
- Project management certification and/or Professional Engineering license preferred.
- Knowledge of USDA, FDA, OSHA and environmental regulations, codes, and standards.
