At UPM Raflatac Mexico we are looking for a Quality Engineer to join our team in Tultitlan, State of Mexico

What you will do

  • Be responsible for ISO 9001 QMS, Terminal Quality System and STPS compliance

  • Lead internal and external audits and corrective and preventive actions

  • Control non-conforming products

  • Analyze customer returned products and backordered materials

  • Develop and implement programs to sustain continuous improvement and waste reduction

  • Manage and develop environmental programs

  • Coordinate, control, implement and follow legal requirements regarding safety and hygiene (Civil Protection, STPS, SENER, SEMARNAT, COMPRISEM, SEGOB, among others)

Who you are

  • You have at least 3 years of experience in a similar position

  • You have a Bachelor's degree and/or Engineering

  • You have conversational level of English (B2 - C1)

  • You know and use problem solving processes such as the 8D's, the 5 Whys, AMEF Ishikawa

  • Knows ISO 9001: 2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, ISO 22001:2018, ESR, Clean Industry and FSC-PEFC certifications

  • Knowledge of NOM/STPS regulations

  • Areas of expertise include environmental regulations, civil protection, Occupational Safety and Health (laws, regulations, standards and government programs)

  • Customer oriented with excellent analytical and problem solving skills

Additional information

The Quality Engineer reports to the Production Manager.

The position is located in Tultitlan, State of Mexico, but can be delegated to our mill in Guadalajara as well, being a consultant for Chiapas, Monterrey and Rosarito.
