We are seeking an Engagement Manager to join our Professional Services team in Japan. This role is responsible for leading client engagements from initiation through successful delivery, ensuring alignment between client goals and project outcomes. The Engagement Manager serves as the primary point of contact for both the client and internal delivery teams, balancing strategic vision with day-to-day execution. You will be working closely with customers, project managers, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality delivery, customer satisfaction, and long-term relationship growth. The ideal candidate is an accomplished leader with strong organizational skills, deep industry knowledge, and the ability to navigate complex delivery environments.

● プロフェッショナルサービス業務の契約締結 – お客様の目標を理解し、Guidewire プロフェッショナルサービス部門のコンサルタントがそれらの目標達成にどのように貢献できるかを提案します。

● 関係の構築と管理 – お客様のステークホルダーと強固な関係を構築、維持、管理します。

● 要員とステークホルダーの調整 – デリバリのマイルストーンを達成するために、社内外のすべての要員、パートナー、ステークホルダーを管理し、連携を図ります。

● コミュニケーションと合意形成の促進 – 社内チーム間およびお客様との効果的なコミュニケーションを通じて、連携を促進し、対立を解決します。

必須要件

● 複雑なエンタープライズソフトウェアプロジェクトのエンドツーエンドのデリバリ管理の経験。保険または金融サービス業界が望ましい。

● 優れたプロジェクトリーダーシップスキル。インセプションフェーズとデリバリフェーズを効果的に組織、計画、実行する能力を含む。

● 優れたコミュニケーションスキル。上級管理職を巻き込み、多様なチーム間で合意形成を図る能力。

● 変化の速い環境において、複数のステークホルダーと競合する優先事項を管理できる能力。

● プロジェクト目標達成のために、様々な部門から成るチームや要員を調整した経験。

望ましい資格

● Guidewire 製品または類似の保険基幹システムの使用経験。

● 損害保険業務またはコンサルティングの経験。

● アジャイルのデリバリメソドロジーとベストプラクティスに関する知識。

● 多国籍環境での業務経験、およびオフショア/ニアショアのデリバリチームの管理経験。

Key Responsibilities 

● Lead Inception and Delivery – Plan, organize, and lead inception engagements to successful completion, ensuring projects start on a solid foundation. 

● Maintain Strategic Oversight – Keep a clear view of the big picture to anticipate challenges, mitigate risks, and ensure delivery success with reasonable prioritization of events/tasks and clear messaging of those pictures to clients 

● Sell Professional Services - Understand customers' goals and offer what consultants of Guidewire Professional Services would help to achieve those objectives. 

● Build and Manage Relationships – Develop, maintain, and manage strong relationships with customer stakeholders at the appropriate levels. 

● Coordinate Resources and Stakeholders – Manage and align all internal and external resources, partners, and stakeholders to achieve delivery milestones. 

● Facilitate Communication and Consensus – Communicate effectively across internal teams and with the customer to drive alignment and resolve conflicts. 

● Apply Industry and Technical Expertise – Leverage your insurance industry experience and understanding of business and technical environments to guide delivery decisions. 

● Mentor and Develop Talent – Proactively mentor field consultants on delivery processes and Guidewire methodology, fostering continuous improvement. 

Required Qualifications 

● Proven experience in managing end-to-end delivery of complex enterprise software projects, ideally within the insurance or financial services industry. 

● Strong project leadership skills, including the ability to organize, plan, and execute inception and delivery phases effectively. 

● Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage senior executives and drive consensus across diverse teams. 

● Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. 

● Experience in coordinating cross-functional teams and aligning resources to meet project objectives. 

● Solid understanding of both business and technical aspects of enterprise software implementations. 

● Fluency in Japanese and business-level English to communicate with clients’ GM or upper layer people, and with Guidewire leadership 

Preferred Qualifications 

● Experience with Guidewire products or similar insurance core systems. 

● Background in P&C insurance operations or consulting. 

● Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and best practices. 

● Experience working in multinational environments and managing offshore/nearshore delivery teams.
