Brown & Brown is seeking an Employee Benefits Producer to join our growing team in Louisville, KY!
The Employee Benefits Producer is responsible for driving new business growth by identifying and pursuing prospects, building strong client relationships, and designing tailored sales strategies aligned with each client’s needs.
How You Will Contribute:
Develop clientele by networking to find new customers and generate prospect lists
Explain features, advantages, and disadvantages of various policies to promote sale of insurance plans
Interview prospective clients to obtain data about their financial resources and needs, the physical condition of the person or property to be insured, and to discuss existing coverage
Inspect property, examining its general condition, type of construction, age, and other characteristics to determine if it is a good insurance risk
Select carrier that offers type of coverage requested by client, contact underwriter, and submit completed forms to bind coverage
Acquire all information necessary for quote submission to underwriters
Prepare and present quotes to prospective clients
Call on clients to deliver and explain policy, to analyze their insurance program, and to suggest additions or changes.
Confer with clients to obtain and provide information when claims are made and monitor claims to ensure they are settled equitably for both the client and the insurer.
Attend meetings, seminars, and programs to stay up-to-date on new products and services, to learn new skills, and to receive technical assistance in developing new accounts.
Prepare and maintain monthly Inventory Templates for submission to Profit Center Leader and Regional President.
Pursues a course of personal, professional development.
Licenses and Certifications:
Insurance License (L&H)
Skills & Experience to Be Successful:
Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
1 – 3 years of sales experience (preferred)
Ability to travel, schedule, and plan as necessary to comply with customer needs
Ability to use computer and various software programs, including MS Office.
A clean driving record per a Motor Vehicle Report and proof of personal auto insurance meeting Brown & Brown’s required minimum coverages of: Coverage A-Liability $100,000/$300,000; Coverage B-Medical Payments $10,000, and Coverage C-Uninsured Motorists $100,000/$300,000
