The Email & Text Marketing Specialist performs overall strategy planning and day-to-day email and text marketing activities including, email and text campaign set-up, scheduling, testing, tagging and deployment of one-time, recurring, triggered and dynamic content-driven campaigns. This position will also assist in creating lifecycle marketing strategies meant to develop customers throughout the lifecycle (acquisition to deactivation).
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Research and assist with the development of overall email and text marketing campaign strategies including re-engagement, marketing and promotional activities, segmentation best practices, and any additional opportunities that arise.
Assist in creating lifecycle marketing strategies for different customer segments, from acquisition through win-back scenarios.
Create email and text campaigns that convey clear marketing messages to customers and prospective customers.
Work closely with Marketing Operation, Merchandise, Professional Sales, Graphics and IS teams for proper item selection, creation and coding of all types of emails to include Marketing, First Call, Certified Auto Repair, transactional, triggered, etc.
Ensure messages are proofread and tested prior to deployment and sent in proper form and template.
Assist with additional email and text strategy and creation for other departments including HR, retail marketing, etc.
Collaborate with the Digital Team to create additional online assets as needed including appropriate landing pages for email click through, etc.
Report to stakeholders with analyses on all aspects of email and text programs from key metrics and insights to recommendations for growth and best practices.
Work with vendor partners to maintain email and text best practices including browser/client compatibility, appearance of subject lines, use of images, etc.
Assist Email & Text Marketing Coordinator as needed.
Provide administrative support to the Marketing team in areas of invoice processing, budget tracking, and phone coverage.
Assist with special department projects at the direction of the Marketing Manager, Director or Vice President.
All other duties as assigned.
SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or business
1+ years of email/online marketing experience
Ability to write, proofread, and edit with proficiency and accuracy
Experience with and knowledge of Google Analytics, Excel, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work well in a team-oriented work environment
Ability to increase email engagement and drive traffic to the company website through various digital marketing tactics

Automotive knowledge
Previous HTML coding and Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience
