Job Description
This position supports the Safety, Health & Environmental Manager at its Graham, Kentucky facility.
- Complete Regulatory compliance including training, and all misc. documentation.
- Supports Process Safety Management activities.
- Coordinates all areas of hazardous waste activities including disposal.
- Collection of data relative to inspection and waste generations, preparation of manifest and labeling of hazardous & non-hazardous waste for off-site shipment and participation in continual improvement activities.
- Acts as a backup to Safety, Health & Environmental Team Lead. Supports all ERT activities, conduct check for PIV's, EPA Div. Haz. Waste and DAQ.
- Applicant must have strong verbal and written communication skills and a strong focus on individual and site safety.
- Detail oriented with an ability to follow written/verbal instructions with high level of accuracy
- Knowledge of D.O.T Hazardous Materials
- Maintenance of GHS/SDS Program Management
- Coordinate Safety Training for on-site contractors & site employees
- Obtain license and safely operate a Powered Industrial Truck, Medium duty trucks and pickup truck/trailer combo.
- Perform safety & environmental compliance activities.
- Assist and maintain regulatory compliance documents including OSHA logs and Safety, Health & Environmental audits.
- Perform additional duties related to specific area assignments.
Requirements:
- Technical Associates Degree, Technical Certification(s) or 5 years' experience in a related position or combination of experience(s)/degree at minimum; Bachelor's or high degree from an accredited institution desired
- Proficiency in fundaments of technical math
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
- Valid driver's license
- Forklift experience desired
- OSHA/HAZWOPER training desired, but not required, certification a plus
- Waste management experience desired
- Title V Conditional Major Air Permit experience desired
- Knowledge of air pump systems desired
- Must be able to wear SCBA or Respirator
- Applicant must be able to safely lift up to 50 +/- lbs. on a non-routine basis
