As an Environmental, Health & Safety Intern at StandardAero’s Houston facility, you will gain hands-on experience supporting the EHS operations of our Business Aviation MRO. Over the course of this 6-month internship, you’ll contribute to meaningful initiatives, and spend time on the maintenance floor to understand how safety principles are applied in a real-world aviation environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Help develop, revise, and improve EHS&S programs, procedures, and compliance documentation
- Support chemical inventory tracking and assist with waste management and wastewater initiatives
- Assist in building and updating training materials for various EHS programs
- Conduct safety inspections and contribute to identifying process improvements
- Provide administrative and project-based support to the EHS team
- Collaborate with technicians and managers across the facility on EHS-related initiatives
- Spend time on the maintenance floor observing processes and supporting EHS engagement
- Perform other projects and duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
- Must be currently enrolled, pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or another related field
- Must be on track to graduate no later than May 2027
- Must possess a basic understanding of OSHA, EPA, and general EHS regulatory concepts
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
