JOB SUMMARY

The Dispatcher will primarily dispatch various types of vehicles, buses, and material handling equipment. Responsible for receiving and dispatching orders, assessing situations, and prioritizing calls. Consults with supervisors, adheres to strict delivery deadlines, and provides excellent customer service. The Dispatcher will actively support and uphold the company’s vision, mission, and core values, contributing to a culture of safety, integrity, and excellence.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Receive and document requests for vehicles and equipment.
• Determine and select the appropriate type and size of vehicle or equipment based on usage requirements.
• Utilize telephone or radio communications equipment to transmit requests to crews or other personnel.
• Provide route and destination information and instructions.
• Prepare and maintain appropriate documentation on vehicles and equipment dispatched, gas and oil usage, mileage, repairs, passengers transported, accidents, etc.
• Direct transportation operations as necessary to accomplish any valid requirement.
• Cross-train as a vehicle operator.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the management.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years of experience in office administration or dispatch operations.
• A Maximo Management database training certificate is preferred.
• Three years of experience utilizing Maximo Management database features to optimize facility workflow.
• Knowledge of two-way radio and telephone operating procedures.
• Fluent in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• A valid home of record driver’s license is required.
• Have excellent reporting, administrative, computer, and office management skills.
• Be organized and able to analyze information, solve problems, and manage inventory.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK CONDITIONS

• Physical requirements may include lifting to 35 lbs, team lifting 50 lbs, climbing, extended sitting and standing, stooping, stretching, or bending.
• Individuals must be able to sit and concentrate for extended periods.
