The Director of Strategic Marketing will be crucial in shaping StrongDM's account-based marketing efforts, developing ABM strategies and programs, and creating go-to-market playbooks and supporting materials needed to support our ICP tiers. This role requires a unique blend of strategic thinking, campaign creation, tactical execution, and analytical prowess. Content creation is a key component – must be comfortable with writing, presentation creation and delivery, and social media.

What You'll Do:

  • Strategic Marketing Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy and messaging that communicates StrongDM's value proposition to our ICP.
  • Market Intelligence: Gather market research to understand industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs. Use insights to inform the sales playbooks and messaging.
  • Content Development: Lead the creation of high-impact content that resonates with target audiences, including long-form papers, case studies, blog posts, and sales enablement materials.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Design and implement effective go-to-market plans for product launches and ongoing promotions in collaboration with sales, marketing, and product teams.
  • Demand Generation Support: Work closely with the marketing team to develop campaigns that drive demand, generate leads, and build brand awareness.
  • Sales Enablement: Equip sales teams with the tools, resources, and training they need to sell StrongDM's products successfully, including competitive insights, key selling points, and objection handling.
  • Customer Advocacy: Foster strong relationships with customers to develop case studies and testimonials that showcase the success and impact of StrongDM's solutions.
  • Event and Webinar Support: Support the planning and execution of events and webinars to engage prospects, customers, and partners.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience in a B2B marketing role with a significant focus on ICP content development and account-based marketing strategies.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity, specifically cloud security or identity
  • Experience with marketing and sales tools (e.g., HubSpot, Mutiny).
  • Excellent communication skills, love writing, creating slides, comfortable presenting on webinars and trainings, and communicating through social media.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with experience working in cross-functional teams.
  • Creative thinking and strategic planning skills, with a detail-oriented approach to execution
  • A passion for technology and innovation, with a drive to stay ahead of industry trends and best practices.

Compensation:

  • $200,000-$230,000 + bonus and equity salary packages
  • Company-sponsored benefits, including:
