We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Sales to lead our sales team in promoting and selling our flagship product, SMX Elevate. SMX Elevate, is a technology-enabled, outcomes-focused approach to solving business challenges for the most highly regulated commercial and government customers. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading and growing a sales team, a deep understanding of technology solutions, and the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships. This role is remote position with up to 25% travel with a nationwide account footprint.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets for SMX Elevate products.
- Lead and mentor a team of direct and channel sales professionals by setting goals, conducting performance reviews, and providing training.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create effective sales and marketing strategies.
- Identify, target, and build go-to-market plans for new market opportunities and potential clients.
- Build and maintain long-lasting relationships with key clients and partners by understanding their business objectives and needs.
- Present and sell SMX Elevate solutions to new and existing clients through compelling proposals and presentations.
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends to inform sales strategies.
- Prepare and present sales reports to top management, highlighting progress and areas for improvement.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and manage escalated customer complaints.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Over 10 years of sales experience, including roles as a sales director, sales manager, or sales and marketing director.
- 2+ years of experience delivering or selling AWS and/or Azure solutions.
- Proven consultative sales executive experience with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with the marketing department to increase top-of-funnel pipeline.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing all levels of an organization.
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated experience aligning client requirements with differentiated solutions.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple ongoing work streams and opportunities while keeping information organized for deal support.
- Proficient in using common CRM and go-to-market tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, and others.
Preferred Experience:
- Active Secret clearance.
- Knowledge of Federal procurement and compliance, including frameworks such as FedRAMP and DoD RMF.
- AWS Practitioner or Associate-level certifications.
- BA/BS degree or equivalent education and experience.

$157,700—$236,500 USD
