The Role
Position Summary
The Director of MRO Procurement is responsible for developing and driving a unified MRO procurement strategy across multiple North American sites (CA, TX, Mexico). This role builds governance, alignment, and oversight over spend, supplier partnerships, contracts, savings initiatives, and compliance frameworks to support operational readiness, cost efficiency, and business scalability. This position partners closely with Operations, Finance, Legal, Engineering, Maintenance, and Site Leadership to ensure procurement decisions are aligned with corporate priorities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop / implement enterprise-level MRO sourcing strategy, roadmaps, and long-term category objectives
  • Establish standards and governance frameworks for MRO sourcing, contracting, supplier qualification, and policy compliance
  • Lead negotiations for high-value agreements, MSAs, pricing arrangements, rebates, and long-term supplier partnerships
  • Set annual savings targets, consolidated demand plans, cost control measures, and enterprise spend optimization goals
  • Oversee procurement performance across sites; build centralized dashboards, analytics, audit controls, and risk metrics
  • Partner with Finance/Legal to ensure contract alignment with internal controls, fiscal goals, terms/conditions and risk thresholds
  • Lead supplier selection, strategic sourcing events, competitive bids, scorecards, and long-term partnership strategies
  • Build/standardize procurement processes, ERP system usage, and master data structures for MRO categories
  • Manage, coach, and develop regional procurement leads, category managers, buyers, and site-level MRO procurement staff

Qualifications
  • 15+ years total procurement or supply chain experience (MRO required)
  • Proven multi-site or multi-region management experience (North America preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree required (Supply Chain, Engineering, Business preferred)
  • CPSM, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent executive procurement certifications a plus
  • Demonstrated success leading high-value negotiations, category strategy, and supplier governance
  • Experience scaling procurement structures in a manufacturing / industrial / facilities-centric environment
  • Executive-level communication & stakeholder influence
  • Strategic thinking, business acumen, and decision authority at enterprise level
  • Strong analytics, financial rigor, cost management discipline
  • Ability to harmonize across multiple sites and drive change adoption

Work location: Santa Clara, CA or Houston, TX (onsite daily)
Salary range: 140K - 185K (depends on experience and work location)
