Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s two Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.
Position Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Infrastructure and Operations to lead our enterprise IT environment across cloud platforms, on-prem infrastructure, networks, servers, storage, and core IT services. This role ensures operational excellence while driving modernization, scalability, and secure service delivery across the organization.
Responsibilities:- Lead and manage day-to-day infrastructure and IT operations to ensure stability, performance, security, and availability.
- Lead the infrastructure architecture for business initiatives and new technology implementations, ensuring solution are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise standard
- Develop and execute cloud and on-prem infrastructure strategy, including hybrid/multi-cloud architecture and modernization initiatives.
- Oversee server, network, storage, virtualization, monitoring, disaster recovery, and data center environments.
- Lead technical planning and execution for infrastructure and operations projects aligned to business needs.
- Build, mentor, and develop high-performing infrastructure and operations teams.
- Manage technology roadmaps, vendor relationships, capacity planning, budgeting, and lifecycle management.
- Collaborate with security, applications, and business units to ensure infrastructure supports organizational goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10+ years of progressive IT infrastructure experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role.
- AWS/Azure Architect, Cisco, VMware, Palo Alto or equivalent professional certification preferred.
- Experience of VMware, Hyper‑V, and storage environments
- IT security fundamentals, identity and access management, patching, and compliance standards.
- Enterprise networking, firewalls, VPNs, routing, switching, and WAN/LAN design.
- Proficiency in server infrastructure (Windows/Linux), virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and enterprise storage solutions
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience with vendor/contract management and service management frameworks
- Experience managing large-scale, high-availability infrastructure operations
- Strong verbal and written communication; ability to mentor and collaborate across teams.
- Experience with datacenter build and virtualization.
- Familiarity with access control models and network security frameworks.
