About the Role:

An opportunity has arisen for a Director position to join our Engineering Department in Jumeirah Mallorca.
The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:
 

• Closely supervise all engineering personnel
• Developing and implementing a comprehensive preventative maintenance programme for hotel’s equipment ensuring keeping of proper records
• Co-ordinating and, if requested, supervising projects and outside contractors 
• Assuming responsibility for the cost-effective operation of the department
• Assisting in the preparation of the annual revised budget with the financial controller and management
• Establishing an efficient system for the control and verification of all deliveries to the premises pertaining to the department’s operation
• Complying with local legislation and acting in accordance with any union agreement relating to the maintenance department

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with at least 3 years of experience in hotel engineering operations and 5+ years in civil works and MEP systems (mechanical, electrical and plumbing).
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to organize, prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Hands-on and solution-oriented mindset, with solid knowledge of maintenance operations, preventive maintenance programs and building systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead teams, manage conflicts and collaborate across departments.
• Fluent in Spanish and English,
