Ferring+You

As an Operational Stream Lead (OSL), you will support building a world-class External Manufacturing Network (EMN) organization, aligned with internal operations to deliver quality, service, cost efficiency, and innovation through strategic CMO partnerships. In this role, you will be responsible for the operational management of assigned Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs), ensuring agility, resilience, and global patient access. You will lead cross-functional governance to drive supplier performance, enable issue resolution, and foster continuous improvement in support of company and patient needs.

This is a senior level position reporting to a global organization, with international colleagues and managerial oversight out of the Headquarters

Your day at Ferring

Operational Leadership

• Lead and deliver operational performance across the External Manufacturing Network (EMN).
• As OSL, lead the Operational Relationship- and the Supplier Relationship Teams coordinating and empowering cross-functional experts to ensure effective supplier oversight and governance.
• Jointly, with the Supplier Relationship Team (SRT), set priorities, strategy, and align resources across the external supplier base.
• Lead CMO S&OP and capacity planning, owning the External Operations capacity/demand ratio, and collaborate closely with value stream teams (short- to mid-term) and strategy teams (mid- to long-term).
• Own the development and maintenance of the external supplier Long Range Plan, in collaboration with value stream, R&D, and strategy teams.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Governance

• Drive cross-functional collaboration and establish processes with Manufacturing, OPEX, Regulatory Affairs, Legal, Controlling, Quality, MTS, Procurement, and Supply Chain to ensure execution of operational plans, deliverables, and KPIs.
• Ensure the effective flow of critical operational information across functions and geographies, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
• Accountable for identifying opportunities and resolving challenges within the SRT; escalate critical issues to the EMN LT PSQDC as needed.

Supplier & Performance Management

• Serve as the primary operational point of contact for assigned CMOs.
• Track and report key operational KPIs; lead governance meetings and performance reviews.
• Monitor production schedules, supply risks, deviations, and CAPAs, ensuring timely resolution and escalation where needed.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen supplier relationships and enhance resilience.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Life Sciences, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech operations, supply chain, or external manufacturing management.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex supplier relationships.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, compliance, and pharmaceutical production processes.
• Experience with performance management tools, dashboards, and digital reporting
