How you will contribute
The Senior Director, AI Product & Engineering owning the technical architecture, engineering execution, and productization of enterprise AI capabilities. This role is accountable for designing, building, validating, and scaling AI solutions through a repeatable factory model that accelerates time-to-value while meeting enterprise standards for security, reliability, and responsible AI.
The Senior Director, AI Product & Engineering, partners closely with the AI Product & Account Management function, which owns business problem definition and value articulation. They collaborate on portfolio prioritisation and product releases. This role owns the technical product architecture, engineering execution, and scalability of AI solutions.
Core responsibilities:
  • Build and lead senior AI engineering and platform teams
  • Coach AI Tech Leads and Principal Engineers
  • Set the technical bar for enterprise AI delivery excellence
  • Lead AI engineering teams responsible for rapid prototyping, MVP development, and AI platform services
  • Drive hands-on technical decision-making across model selection, architecture trade-offs, and cost/performance optimization
  • Ensure strong engineering discipline: code quality, testing, documentation, and observability
  • Establish AI platform services, including model access, orchestration, experimentation, and monitoring
  • Define standards for release management, performance tracking, and incident response in accordance with Mondelez existing practices
  • Operate level 2/3 technical support for production operations teams
  • Own technical readiness gates for scaling AI solutions, including security, reliability, and cost controls in accordance with the enterprise technology readiness and release methodologies
  • Partner with IT and GBS to transition AI solutions into enterprise run models
  • Provide post-go-live stabilization support

What you will bring
A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career. You will bring experience and knowledge in:
  • 12+ years in software engineering, data platforms, or AI/ML with senior leadership experience
  • Deep experience with GenAI, agentic AI, cloud AI platforms, and MLOps tools in a heterogeneous infrastructure environment
  • Proven track record in building scalable platforms and reusable systems through agile delivery teams
  • Strong leadership experience through complex challenges and developing creative solutions
  • Familiarity with the fast-moving consumer goods or related sector
  • Driving for results and Analytical Skills
  • Technical expertise and a passion for innovation, understanding a variety of disruptive technology products and services
  • Technical and business acumen to evaluate opportunities with internal and external partners
  • Project management, including knowledge of Agile
