Your roleAs a Digital Strategist Operations, you are responsible for the Digitalization Strategy of Operations and preparing a long-term digitalization target picture together with the respective Operations Leadership Team. In your role you will define & run the regular Digitalization Strategy process, the governance structure, preparing decision making for the strategy and implementing project initiatives. In more detail you are responsible of the following tasks:
develop the MED Operations Digitalization Strategy, its design principals and the implementation roadmap in alignment with the company’s overall business objectives
regularly conduct research, provide insights and assess digital trends and opportunities with application for ZEISS MED to improve regularly Operations Digitalization set-up
create roadmaps for digital transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with operational goals
define and roll-out a regular digitalization strategy process, respective committees and communication of results into the organization
implementing a governance structure for the Digitalization Strategy to give guidance and structure to the Operation & IT Teams
lead cross-functional teams in the execution of digital projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget
calculate benefits and synergies that shall be achieved with the Digitalization Strategy and regular tracking & reviews of its realization
prepare business cases for investment decisions and prepare management decision presentations for MED Board
lead & moderate Operations Management Workshops on Digitalization Strategy
being the first point of contact for the IT department on the Operations Digitalization Strategy and implementation roadmap to secure long term IT resources for Operations
you will be involved in M&A activities for operations
Master’s degree in business, engineering, computer science, industrial manufacturing with a focus on digitization in operations, or related fields
profound experience in Digitization Strategy, Operations Strategy and/or in a strategic department or consultancy / or any other similar roles
experience in global operations environment with focus on Digitalization, industry 4.0 or factory of the future concepts
strong experience in IT tools and their application in operations, e.g. SAP R3 & SAP 4HANA, MES, Power Apps, low code tools, power BI etc.
very good Excel and PowerPoint skills for management presentations
strong collaborative and teamworking skills, structured and results-oriented working methods
high level of communication skills - very good knowledge in English and German
