Job Summary

The Digital Marketing Analyst will manage the Memorial Hermann Health System end-to-end marketing data infrastructure. This position will focus on the system’s Google Analytics 4 (GA4) data flow with an ultimate goal to ingest, model, and visualize data from a wide range of marketing sources, including but not limited to Paid Search, Paid and Organic Social, Email, and Journey analytics. This position will be the technical expert responsible for building a robust and reliable data foundation that empowers the marketing team to make data-driven decisions across all marketing channels. This position typically reports to the Director, Marketing Operations.Job Description

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Analytics, Business or related field required.

Licenses/Certifications: None

Experience / Knowledge / Skills:

  • Four (4) years related work experience in digital/marketing analytics or business intelligence required.

  • Strong proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL) required, must be comfortable with advanced query writing and data modeling concepts.

  • Proven experience with Google Analytics 4 (GA4), including a deep understanding of its data model and reporting capabilities.

  • Experience with Google Tag Manager (server-side tagging is a plus).

  • Experience with Google BigQuery or a similar cloud data warehouse (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift).

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain data visualization dashboards in Looker Studio.

  • A solid understanding of data from various marketing channels (e.g., Paid Search, Social Media, Email Marketing).

  • Experience with Salesforce CRM and Marketing Cloud.

  • Experience with Jira administration preferred.

  • Experience with Python and JavaScript preferred.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office).

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Web Analytics Oversight:

    • Serves as the primary stakeholder for web analytics (Google Analytics 4(GA4)), defining event tracking requirements and data collection standards. Conducts regular data quality audits to ensure integrity of clickstream data.

    • Partners with IT and web development to ensure accurate implementation of tracking specifications and conduct ongoing data quality audits. 

  • Analytics Engineering:

    • Owns and manages the marketing data warehouse in Google BigQuery.

    • Designs develops, and maintains robost SQL data models to clean, transform, prepare data from marketing platforms for reporting & analysis.  

    • Ingests, integrates, and models data from GA4, Paid Search (Google Ads), organic social (Meta, LinkedIn, etc.), and Email/Journey analytics platforms to provide a unified view of marketing performance. 

    • Establishes and monitors data governance and quality standards to ensure accuracy and reliability across all marketing datasets. 

  • Business Intelligence (BI) Development:

    • Builds, maintains, and optimizes interactive dashboards and reports using Looker Studio, with Google BigQuery as the primary data source.

    • Translates strategic marketing questions into clear, actionable data visualizations that encompass multiple channels.

    • Develops and documents data models, reports, and processes to support self-service analytics for stakeholders. 

  • Marketing Technology Support:

    • Provides technical support for our marketing technology tools, including our suite of Salesforce tools which include Salesforce CRM and Marketing Cloud.

    • Serves as a technical liaison between marketing, IT, CRM teams to ensure smooth integrations, accurate data flows, and effective tool usage. .

  • Enterprise Analytics Partnership:

    • Aligns domain analytics with enterprise strategy and standards by adhering to central frameworks, contributing to methodology development, and ensuring compliance with system-wide data governance, quality, and strategic priorities.  .

    • Collaborates across domains and Enterprise Analytics to share best practices, reduce duplication, leverage shared assets, and support enterprise-wide data infrastructure and capability building. Escalates methodology and resource conflicts when needed. 

    • Provides domain expertise and feedback to inform health system data strategy, shape analytics roadmaps, and ensure alignment of domain goals with organization objectives. 

    • Engages in professional development and dual accountability by maintaining enterprise-level analytical competencies, participating in performance assessments, and offering feedback to both domain and enterprise analytics leadership.

  • Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.

  • Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor and resource to less experienced staff.

  • Demonstrates commitment to caring for every member of our community by creating compassionate and personalized experiences. Models Memorial Hermann’s service standards of providing safe, caring, personalized and efficient experiences to patients and our workforce.
