Purpose of the Job

Digital Insights and Workflow Specialist will play an important role in Lab IT installation and Automation application support in the implementation phase. 

Accountabilities

Perform installation and configuration of Roche cross-BA Lab IT products

  • Installation of Lab IT hardware and software 

  • Testing and implementation of Lab IT products on site

Perform application support of Roche cross-BA Lab IT products

  • Perform troubleshooting

  • Provide and implement backup and recovery solutions

  • Provide operation training to internal and external customers

  • Preventive Maintenance

Perform application and configuration of Roche automation products

  • Involve in planning Roche automation products including site survey and other project forms

  • Testing and configuration of Roche automation products onsite in tandem with Roche Lab IT products

Perform post-implementation support of Roche automation products

  • Provide operation training to internal and external customers

  • Perform troubleshooting

Perform simulation analysis for Roche offerings with appropriate simulation tools

  •  Provide insights and proposal for LAS related projects and implementation

  •  Conduct simulation analysis on channel assignment and estimation the TAT for the whole LAS solution offering

Manage workflow consulting project

  •  Provide expert analysis of customer workflows processes in order to provide possible solution

  • Identify the opportunities and improvement areas according to determined KPIs and meet customers’ needs

  • Engage appropriate parties to problem solve the workflow issue using lean Principles or similar methodologies to improve the lab efficiency

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Science/ Information Technology or related subjects. 

  • Knowledge in Central Laboratory workflow and its corresponding clinical disciplines

Work experience:

  • At least 3 years experience in Lab IT or automation support in IVD or related field 

  • Good understanding of laboratory workflow and dataflow is required

  • Working experience in laboratories or in LIS companies can be a bonus

 

Skills: 

  • Strong interpersonal skill

  • Good presentation skill

  • Good negotiation and influencing skill

  • Good teamwork

  • A level of knowledge of process improvement disciplines ( eg. LEAN Methodology ) will be an added advantage

 

Language:

  • Fluency in English, Mandarin and Cantonese
