FICO (NYSE: FICO) is a leading global analytics software company, helping businesses in 100+ countries make better decisions. Join our world-class team today and fulfill your career potential!

The Opportunity

“The DevOps Engineer sits at the intersection of software development and systems engineering. Today, the role is grounded in the reliable delivery and operation of complex distributed enterprise SaaS offerings — ensuring uptime, scalability, and the disciplined progression of client solutions through our release pipeline. The landscape of this work is changing rapidly, and AI is at the center of that shift — accelerating development, deepening automation, and expanding the scope of what a single engineer can architect and own. A software engineering foundation is essential here: it's what positions you to grow alongside those capabilities. Curiosity and problem solving are the cornerstone of a successful DevOps Engineer." – Director, DevOps Engineering.

What You’ll Contribute

  • Own the provisioning and promotion of client solutions across environments — onboarding clients and their configurations from lower environments through to production with rigor, precision, and a zero-tolerance approach to production risk.
  • Monitor, maintain, and continuously improve the reliability, performance, and scalability of enterprise SaaS, PaaS, and Public Cloud platforms across the full stack.
  • Apply your software engineering background and AI tooling to triage, debug, and resolve incidents — going beyond symptoms to address root causes in environment, architecture, and code.
  • Design, develop, and maintain internal tooling and automation that reduces manual effort, accelerates provisioning and deployment workflows, and raises the ceiling on what the team can deliver.
  • Manage and evolve complex Infrastructure as Code (IaC) environments to support consistent, repeatable, and scalable provisioning across the platform.
  • Contribute to architectural discussions and platform strategy, bringing an engineering perspective to how systems are designed, not just how they're operated.

What We’re Seeking

  • Software development background with hands-on experience in Java and Python, applied toward tooling, automation, and platform engineering.
  • Demonstrated fluency with AI-assisted development tools — using them not as a shortcut but as a force multiplier for debugging, code generation, documentation, and problem solving at scale.
  • Proven track record supporting business-critical enterprise platforms where uptime, reliability, and disciplined change management are non-negotiable.
  • Deep hands-on experience with the AWS ecosystem — EC2, ECS, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, DynamoDB, and related services.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly AWS CloudFormation or Ansible.
  • Experience designing and supporting CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or Bitbucket Pipelines.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, ECS, or Kubernetes is a strong plus.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using Bash and Python to streamline infrastructure and application tasks.
  • Working knowledge of relational database systems including MySQL and SQL Server.
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals — TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, firewalls — with hands-on experience with load balancers and security appliances.
  • Practical knowledge of DNS management, PGP/GPG encryption, SSH key lifecycle management, and TLS/SSL certificate management and automation.
  • Working knowledge of version control systems, preferably Git, using Bitbucket or GitHub.
  • Strong working knowledge of Linux in enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with Service Management tools such as ServiceNow and ITIL best practices.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, agile environment with cross-functional teams.

Our Offer to You

  • An inclusive culture strongly reflecting our core values:  Act Like an Owner, Delight Our Customers and Earn the Respect of Others.
  • The opportunity to make an impact and develop professionally by leveraging your unique strengths and participating in valuable learning experiences.
  • Highly competitive compensation, benefits and rewards programs that encourage you to bring your best every day and be recognized for doing so.
  • An engaging, people-first work environment offering work/life balance, employee resource groups, and social events to promote interaction and camaraderie.
