The Role: DevOps Engineer

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Kaseya is seeking a motivated and skilled DevOps Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. As a DevOps Engineer, you will help drive continuous integration, delivery, and deployment practices, supporting our software developers in delivering high-quality IT management solutions efficiently.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

As a DevOps Engineer at Kaseya, you will collaborate with the engineering team to bridge the gap between development and operations, facilitating the integration, delivery, and deployment of software solutions. Your technical abilities and enthusiasm for automation will be key in optimizing and streamlining the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and manage automated CI/CD pipelines to streamline code integration, testing, and deployment.
  • Write and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for provisioning and managing cloud resources.
  • Monitor infrastructure and application performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues to ensure availability and reliability.
  • Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure costs using tools and best practices.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices, including vulnerability scanning and secrets management.
  • Provision and maintain containerized deployments using tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Administer configuration management using tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
  • Support data infrastructure, including deployment, scaling, monitoring, and backup of databases (e.g., AWS RDS, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
  • Participate in incident management by troubleshooting and performing root cause analysis.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and assist in response during critical incidents or outages.
  • Collaborate with development and QA teams to integrate automated testing and feedback loops into the deployment process.
  • Maintain and enhance monitoring, observability, and logging systems (e.g., Datadog, CloudWatch, Grafana, Kibana).
  • Assist with network management tasks, including configuration of VPNs, VPCs, load balancers, DNS, and firewalls.
  • Facilitate release management to ensure smooth deployments and rollbacks.
  • Analyze system capacity and performance, tuning infrastructure for efficiency and scalability.
  • Stay up to date with emerging DevOps technologies, tools, and methodologies.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ experience deploying solutions in AWS, with expertise in writing infrastructure-as-code using tools like CloudFormation or Terraform, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, GitLab).
  • Good understanding of technical architecture, deployment, and scalable systems across cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Proficiency in scripting (Python, Shell), configuration management (Ansible, Chef, or Puppet), and version control systems, including GitHub/GitLab branching strategies and workflows.
  • Experience supporting containerized deployments (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes) and managing data infrastructure (AWS RDS, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
  • Familiarity with monitoring, observability, and logging tools such as Datadog, CloudWatch, Grafana, Kibana, Elasticsearch, or OpenSearch.
  • Experience in incident management (troubleshooting, resolution, postmortems/RCAs), on-call rotation (OpsGenie, PagerDuty), and disaster recovery planning/testing.
  • Knowledge in cost management and optimization using automated tools (AWS Cost Explorer).
  • Understanding of network management, including VPNs, VPCs, load balancing, DNS, firewalls, and familiarity with API management technologies (AWS API Gateway).
  • Collaborative skills using team tools (Jira, Confluence, Slack) for incident response and project coordination.
