The Role

As Desktop Administrator, you’ll be the backbone of SambaNova’s internal IT experience — keeping our global workforce connected, productive, and secure. You’ll own the desktop environment end-to-end, partner closely with People Ops on seamless onboarding, and drive automation initiatives that scale with our rapid growth. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who takes pride in running a tight, reliable operation and genuinely loves helping people.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with People Ops to deliver a smooth, day-one-ready onboarding experience for every new hire worldwide.
  • Own the desktop environment from design through deployment — enhancing performance, maintaining reliability, and scaling infrastructure to support continued growth.
  • Keep day-to-day operations running smoothly by monitoring, measuring, and proactively troubleshooting infrastructure and services.
  • Champion automation: identify opportunities, collaborate cross-functionally, and drive initiatives that build long-term stability and efficiency.
  • Support a diverse user base across all technical ability levels with patience, clarity, and care.
  • Deploy and maintain end-user hardware including printers, scanners, VoIP devices, and AV equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve networking issues impacting productivity.

What We’re Looking For

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2+ years of hands-on desktop system administration across macOS and Windows — including OS installation, package management, lifecycle management, and performance troubleshooting.
  • 1+ years implementing and maintaining MDM platforms (Jamf, Intune, or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated experience supporting common enterprise applications: MS Office / M365, Google Workspace, Okta, VPN clients, VNC, video conferencing, and endpoint protection tools.
  • Comfortable using ticketing systems to manage and prioritize support requests.
  • Solid grasp of networking fundamentals; able to diagnose and resolve basic connectivity issues independently.
  • Experience supporting Linux from both desktop and server perspectives.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Auth0 or similar identity/access management platforms.
  • AWS or other cloud platform familiarity.
  • Previous experience in a high-growth startup environment — you know how to operate with speed, ambiguity, and minimal hand-holding.

$60,000$85,000 USD
