WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Our Design Execution team is composed of idea-makers, storytellers and builders that lead with a creative curiosity to drive how we experience Nike's built environments and influence branded experiences. They direct and lead the overall design execution of an integrated project delivery model. They are design fundamentalists who approach projects with rational and innovative mentalities that extend strategic design specific frameworks that inform business opportunities without losing sight of why, how and what Nike seeks to look, feel and communicate through its immersive experiences. As a Workplace Designer you will support the Workplace Design Director and work across multiple delivery streams in geographic and global capacities to help define internal and external processes, collaborate with strategic partners, and lead project-specific design with external AE partners.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
You will define project-level design vision and employee experience journey while being aligned with GEO creative direction and employee experience guidelines. You will be responsible for identifying and leading external design partners from project initiation through completion. Our Workplace Designer will provide design oversight and recommendations within the GEO over WD&C Americas standards including architectural performance, FFE selection, and branding while working multiple projects with integrated strategy in parallel.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
As our Workplace Designer, you will collaborate with our broader cross-functional delivery team to balance the needs of Real Estate, Program Management, Workplace Experience, Food Services, Security, Technology and Brand Design among others. Reporting directly into the Americas Environments Design Director will allow you to inform and provide real time updates on projects quickly and efficiently.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Advanced industry knowledge of design and construction project delivery across all phases (programming, concept, SD/DD/CD, construction administration).
  • Demonstrating a solid foundation of industry best-practices, construction means and methods, procurement process
  • Strong design talent demonstrated through completed work examples-knowledge of current trends, innovative materials, furniture, etc. Passion for current design topics including sustainability, health & wellness, and the future of workplace design.
  • Demonstration of multi-disciplinary, accelerated design projects with a strong concept/inspiration for clients with a strong brand identity.
  • Ability to lead internal and external partners with clear, organized communication; comfortable elevating strategic concerns to senior management in a timely manner.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multiples subject areas, groups, and geographies
  • Proven ability to gain agreement for complex and coordinated programs while being a creative strategic thinker for fully immersive environments and experiences via:
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills, including meeting facilitation
  • Exceptional presentation skills, including content creation for senior-level presentations
  • Strong storytelling capabilities: providing appropriate business, design, consumer and cultural context that lie behind the design
  • Strong ability to process non-linear direction and develop clear direction towards a concrete workplan.
  • Deep passion and understanding of Nike's DNA, culture and heritage
  • 5-8 years proven experience in Architecture or Interior Design, with strong industry knowledge related to workplace design and strategy; experience with environmental graphic design/branded environments is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Suite, Sketch-Up, Keynote, AutoCAD, Revit, PowerPoint, Bluebeam Studio
