Join our growing design team! We’re looking for a talented Visual Designer (Marketing) who is excited about the opportunity to put their mark on a cutting-edge media organization. As a Visual Designer (Marketing), you will support our marketing and design teams in creating high impact digital experiences. You will help design and execute content packages and social media graphics across multiple platforms in collaboration with our leading brand partnerships.

Responsibilities:

  • Create user-focused designs across a range of content products
  • Strategize and execute content packages and promotions for our leading brand partners
  • Design internal social media campaigns and graphics
  • Translate concepts and strategic ideas into graphic design solutions
  • Present and communicate work effectively to internal cross-functional teams
  • Use effective time management and organizational skills to maintain workflow and meet deadlines
  • Assist the Head of Design, Chief Revenue Officer and SVP of Product and Marketing with projects as required
  • Come prepared to creative meetings with innovative solutions

Required:

  • 2+ years of experience in digital design in a media, agency, or marketing environment with an emphasis on editorial storytelling
  • Excellent visual communication skills with proficiency in layout, hierarchy, typography, color and balance
  • Excellent knowledge of the digital environment including best practices
  • An expert in the Adobe Creative Cloud, including Illustrator, Photoshop and AfterEffects. Proficiency in Figma is a plus
  • Flexible with a proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • A strong portfolio that showcases design work and branding work

Preferred:

  • Experience in motion graphics
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Newsroom or media experience is a plus
  • Excitement for startup culture and contributing to a small and nimble team that is building a national brand from the ground up
