Anaplan is looking for a tenacious VP of UX to join the User Experience. This is a stellar opportunity to get involved in a highly visible, large scale SaaS cloud company. Insight on your impact

You have experience developing UX teams within a global enterprise and have applied the vital interpersonal know-how to nurture a creative, innovative and high-impact team.

You can influence and work with senior leadership all the way up to the CEO and out across the Product organization to Engineering, Brand, Marketing, Support and Customer Success.  You are a strategic and inspiring leader, able to influence and persuade, navigate and guide at the executive level.

You have shepherded evidence-led design processes and influenced product direction through research and data analytics. You understand how research can impact roadmaps, strategy, and decision-making. You can bridge qualitative and quantitative research to help drive decision-making within the broader organization.

You are a skilled mentor and coach. You realize the best way to develop a team is by helping them to grow themselves. You're able to provide a clear framework for career advancement.


Your qualifications, your influence

  • Lead, encourage and grow a 25-strong team of designers, researchers and ops managers
  • Establish rapport with each member of the UX team and work hard to help them level up their skills
  • Define a design maturity strategy that aligns with business and team goals
  • Prioritize and drive discovery and research initiatives to ensure we’re solving the right problems, in the right way
  • Establish relationships throughout the organization to advocate good UX practices and influence roadmaps to meet business and user goals
  • Communicate key user needs, design vision and strategy to the wider organization, and provide thought leadership on the impact design will have in helping our customers tackle their business problems
  • Champion ongoing improvements based on customer feedback, site metrics and usability findings
  • Advocate for a design-led way of working across the organization, finding ways to involve non-designers in the design process
  • Develop and be responsible for the adoption of our design system, establishing a shared design language among creative and engineering teams to drive quality, build efficiency, and cohesive experience
  • Give, seek and receive thoughtful critical feedback.
  • Dive in and help customers have the best experience possible by supporting pre-sales and implementation teams, research activities, conferences, workshops and other engagements


To be successful in the role, you must possess the following skills

  • Education and/or experience typically obtained through completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Design, Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • 10+ years of  UI/UX design experience.
  • 10+ years of proven track record of retaining highly engaged, robust teams.
  • Strong creative vision with an understanding of business objectives.
  • Deep knowledge of user-centered design methods for innovation and ideation
  • Demonstrate ability to pitch creative concepts to leadership, executive suite customers and board members.
  • Strong practical knowledge of user-centered design methodologies and usability principles. Experience running design teams as a shared service organization within an enterprise.
