Turn is a 110+ person, venture-backed, experienced team of entrepreneurs that are focused on driving unprecedented value in the hourly workforce industry. Our worker screening and sourcing platforms are used by companies in 30+ industry verticals ranging from rideshare to delivery to healthcare. We support employers that need to develop last mile labor quickly - that could be 50 workers in Miami or 5k+ workers across multiple cities every month.
Turn is looking for a UX Researcher that will collaborate with our product, engineering, and design teams to deliver actionable insights that influence product design. Your understanding of various research methodologies will be applied to a variety of research projects across global end-to-end human capital solutions.
What you'll be doing:

  • Work closely with UX designers, product managers, and engineers to identify research needs.
  • Design, plan, scope, and conduct user research studies including usability testing, ethnography/field research, concept testing, surveys, and card sorting.
  • Tag, organize, and archive research reports into a searchable database to increase research transparency across the team and organization.
  • Review, analyze, and report qualitative and quantitative data to deliver actionable insights to the product and design teams.
  • Find creative and compelling ways to share research insights throughout the organization.


What we're looking for:

  • BS/BA degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Psychology, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of practical experience in applied product research for commercial B2B, B2C, SaaS or mobile products.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization.
  • Practical understanding of traditional and new research methods, UX methodology and design thinking.
  • Demonstrated expertise in a variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  • Ability to influence and guide others on the value and importance of user-centered research.
  • An understanding of agile product development practices.
  • Self-motivation and discipline in order to successfully work remotely.
