Job Description
What you get to do in this role:
The Digital Design team at ServiceNow is looking for a UX Researcher to join our team. We're a talented group of customer-obsessed designers, writers, and strategists focused on raising the creative bar and delivering compelling digital experiences. We own design for the ServiceNow website, events, digital campaigns, design systems and growth optimization. We're looking for a candidate to help us solve some of our most complex problems, help deliver results for our customers, and most importantly serve as an unrelenting advocate for beautiful customer experiences. You will need to gracefully integrate your work with cross-functional internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
This opportunity would suit someone with a usability, user-centered design, or human factors research background. Our ideal new team member will have a degree in an analytic field that focuses on people and/or product development such as Psychology, Cognitive Science, or Human Factors.
Demonstrate a strong dedication to quality, be organized, analytical, methodical, and have an interest in improving player experiences and overall quality through user research.
Proven methodological skills including expert review, usability testing, play-testing, survey design, text & verbal analysis, and observational fieldwork.
Organized and capable of leading multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced and exciting environment.
Comfortable interacting and communicating with partners of different backgrounds and responsibilities.
Strong verbal, numerical and written communication skills required; presenting information concisely and effectively to people at all levels of the organization is critical.
Strong negotiation skills are important and must work well with cross-functional teams, including producers, engineers, and designers.
Must be forward thinking and actively maintain an interest in your field; keeping up-to-date with developing tools and approaches.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you have:
Degree or equivalent practical experience in HCD, product management, psychology, human factors, or a closely related field.
3+ years of research and design work experience.
Experience working through complete, complex product cycles with an understanding and application of human-centered design and prototyping approaches.
Strong understanding and experience in quantitative and qualitative research methods.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a high tolerance for ambiguity and change.
Proven track record of implementing research portfolio across organizations and products.
