Our Opportunity

We are seeking an Associate Product Designer in Charlotte, NC or Remote within the U.S. This position would embrace the vision for AvidXchange, work on design solutions for customer and business problems, collaboratively craft product experiences that aim to be intuitive and efficient for our users. We are a collaborative, diverse team of designers, researchers, and writers who value winning as a team and innovating to change the industry. Our team is mostly on the east coast, but we are open to remote candidates for this position.

You will develop your skills in product design to understand and transform the details while keeping the customer front and center. You plan your personal work and hold yourself accountable for delivery and customer outcomes by communicating up to leadership.

You continuously learn new design skills to improve your design delivery, craft, quality, and impact. When you see an issue, you act quickly to resolve or escalate it to your leadership.

What You'll Do

  • Transform customer and business objectives into compelling designs in collaboration with senior designers and leaders on the team.
  • Develop multiple solutions for a specific challenge with a bias for action.
  • Manage your work from end to end, discovery and concept ideation, flows and wireframes, and full-fidelity prototype designs.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, content strategists, user researchers, and other designers.
  • Clearly present your designs, inspiration, and decisions to stakeholders.
  • Partner with Research to ensure that design concepts meet our customers' needs and deliver the desired results.
  • Champion cohesion and consistency by delivering designs that promote our organization's experience strategy and use of the design system.
  • Nurture AvidXchange culture and principles within your team and the design practice.



Basic Qualifications

  • A portfolio or case studies that demonstrates your design skill and clearly communicates design decisions and the impact on the customer.
  • Proven experience communicating and presenting problems clearly.
  • An ability to evaluate the customer and business impact of your design decisions.
  • Bachelor's, or equivalent degree, in Design, HCI, or related field, or equivalent professional experience within the design field.



Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience using Figma.
