The user researcher will partner closely with product managers and cross-functional team members to understand our vision, gather research, and share insights to help inform the product roadmap. The ideal candidate is highly organized, collaborative, and passionate about building the best possible experience for teachers, students, and administrators.
Responsibilities of the User Researcher:

  • Collaborate closely with product managers, research and measurement, and other cross-functional teams to ensure our products address user needs.
  • Collaborate with the user research project manager to prioritize and schedule research initiatives according to business needs.
  • Recruit teachers, students, and administrators for participation in user research and classroom observations.
  • Develop research plans and obtain stakeholder sign off for each initiative.
  • Conduct mixed methods research through usability testing, accessibility testing, prototyping sessions, surveying, and classroom observations.
  • Analyze existing research and usage data to identify insights and themes.
  • Organize qualitative and quantitative feedback to advise product leadership in decision making.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Basic Qualifications of the User Researcher:

  • 3-5 years experience conducting user, market, and/or competitor research.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong empathy, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
  • Expertise in user research best practices and mixed methods.


Preferred Qualifications of the User Researcher:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience translating research findings into strategic narratives.
  • Customer relationship management experience.
  • Interest in the education or edtech field.
  • Background in technology, design, user research, curriculum content development.
