The Digital Experience team, part of MassMutual's Enterprise Technology & Experience organization, designs, builds, and supports the company's digital assets for customers and financial professionals. Digital Experience is composed of collaborative, diverse, cross-functional teams who like to have fun. We challenge each other and are energized to create innovative solutions that exceed the changing needs of our users. The Role and Your Impact
As a user interface designer at MassMutual, you will have the opportunity to:
Use design to help our customers secure their futures and protect the ones they love
Change how MassMutual financial professionals connect with and serve their customers
Reform how customers interact with financial solutions like like insurance and investments
Deliver and iterate on new, innovative, omnichannel experiences
Partner with Agile squads using the latest frameworks
Partner with our team of user experience designers and researchers
Collaborate on MassMutual's Blueprint design system
Advocate for the use of fresh design tools and ethical design practices
Ensure code matches your designs through visual quality assurance practices
The qualifications
An ideal candidate for this role will be:
A passionate user interface (UI) or visual designer with an in-depth understanding of interaction design principles and strategies to bring omnichannel digital experiences to life.
Proficient with the latest tools and curious about new developments, this designer will work independently on a variety of projects extending established design direction and brand.
A great collaborator who is well-versed in Agile methodologies and the role of design.
Well-versed in a variety of design problems and common interface patterns.
Great at giving and receiving feedback, collaborating with and coaching other designers.
Dedicated to creating consistent and highly-usable user experiences with fidelity.
Interested in making sense of data and creating robust data visualizations.
Attentive to detail with a strong sense of visual style and hierarchy.
An ideal candidate for this role will have:
1+ years of related experience
Bachelor's degree in Design/Fine Arts, Psychology, Communication, English, Computer Science or related field
A continuously collaborative and inclusive mindset
Experience with design systems
Experience with mobile first or responsive design
A proven approach to design deliverables like prototypes and developer documentation
