As a User Experience Designer (Platform) at GHX, you will work to create, maintain, and enhance the design system used to conceive and build products across the breadth of the GHX product portfolio. Your responsibilities will involve applying your design skills and working with other stakeholders, including other designers, Engineering, and Product Management, to craft a consistent, functional, useful, and humane experience for GHX's users. A successful candidate for this role will have a proven track record in leading design projects that span diverse products, platforms, and technologies. You should be a strong communicator and collaborator able to consistently articulate the rationale behind design decisions and a thoughtful contributor who is always striving to improve outcomes based on customer and stakeholder input. You have experience scaling design and fostering design thinking across an organization, and have implemented design systems in the past.
Responsibilities- Create, maintain, and iterate upon design system components, striving for an excellent and consistent user experience across a range of products
- Work with engineers and product managers to create and refine high-fidelity prototypes, interaction requirements, and other documentation
- Collaborate with Product Design team members and product teams to gather requirements, provide input on design system utilization and guidelines, and curate elements for inclusion within the design system
- Write and maintain high-quality documentation for existing and future design system components
- Strongly articulate rationale for design decisions, based on user research, empathy, and data
Suggested Experience:- 3+ years working in user experience design as applied to software products
- Successful implementation of at least one design system
- Proficient in UI design and prototyping tools (e.g. Figma, Sketch, xD)
- Strong eye for visual and interaction design
- Familiarity with frontend web frameworks and technologies, and experience designing across multiple platforms and screens (e.g. web, iOS, Android)
- Excellence in communication and collaboration
Estimated salary range for this position: $94,200-$125,550The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the GHX's salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. The base salary is one component of GHX's total compensation package for employees.
