We are looking for seasoned industry professionals to be UI/UX Design Instructors to join us at ThriveDX. You will serve as an educator and point of contact with the operations & curriculum teams. As part of your position, you will teach design with a focus on preparing students to learn, build and apply the skills and knowledge they need to land a position in the UI/UX field.

Who You Are

Our ideal candidate must be highly experienced in UI or UX theory and application. This person must be passionate about design and even more dedicated to giving our students the highest quality education and training required to land entry-level design jobs upon graduation from the program. The ideal person would have experience with curriculum development, methodology, content, and delivery of interactive, facilitation-based training utilizing multiple teaching platforms including classroom (currently remote), hands-on, and self-directed instruction 2 nights a week and 1 day over the weekend. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide our students with engaging lectures and demonstrations
• Incorporate personalized examples that illustrate how design concepts are applied 
• Manage and coach a team of Assistant Instructors and Teaching Assistants
• Captivate students with active discussions and hands-on demos
• Provide empathetic and supportive spaces for students to excel
• Mentor students, offering productive feedback throughout the course
• Partner with the curriculum team by providing suggestions for continuous improvement
• Grade course projects in a timely manner

Job Requirements:

• UI/UX Design experience in various domains
• Experience in leading diverse teams or mentoring
• Previous experience teaching, presenting, facilitating, or instructing preferred
• Cross-functional collaboration with various stakeholders
• Enthusiastic about education and student success
• Passionate about diversity, inclusion, accessibility, and design ethics
