Our Opportunity:

Chewy’s mission is to be the most trusted and convenient destination for pet parents everywhere. UX Researchers at Chewy play a critical role in bringing the voice of the customer into the organization, by listening to pet parents and partners, identifying unmet needs, and inspiring company-wide innovation. We are seeking a Staff UX Researcher in Boston, MA, Plantation, FL, Minneapolis, MN, and Bellevue, WA, or potentially remote. The ideal candidate is curious about and empathetic to pets and pet parents – and helping them live their best lives. Each day will bring the opportunity to work alongside designers, UXR program managers, engineers, and product managers who genuinely love pets and pet parents. The ideal candidate will be excited to uncover opportunities with existing and new products and services and make an impact for pets, pet parents, and how UX Research evolves at Chewy as a whole. As a team of hard-working, collaborative, and fun-loving designers, researchers, and builders, we’re looking for creative and driven talent to join the pack.

What You'll Need:

  • 7+ years of experience as a UX researcher, academic researcher, or similar role
  • 4+ years of experience leading large-scale initiatives and mentoring researchers in your area of expertise
  • A track record of delivering high-quality research that delivered results and demonstrate the depth of your research skills, illustrated through case studies
  • Proven experience communicating and presenting complex user needs clearly
  • A proven ability to evaluate the customer and business impact of your research decisions
  • Bachelor’s Degree in user research or a related field or equivalent professional experience
  • Position may require travel or time in the local office

Deliver Products and Results:

You use your expertise in research methods to hone the details while keeping the customer needs front and center. You plan your work and identify the right approach to any given research challenge, and you use customer outcomes and business metrics to hold yourself accountable. Your work drives an impact for research and product innovation.

Earn Trust:

You build trust across the team by using data to help achieve common goals. Your constructive communication and collaboration style enables you to quickly build consensus and influence people across your team.

Operate at Depth:

You identify the underlying customer needs and business problems that are critical to a successful product. You use storytelling and facilitation to drive alignment. For any solution you propose, you can clearly articulate the pros and cons. Your judgment allows you to make smart trade-offs between time and effort to ensure the best possible outcome.

Build High-Performing Teams:
