Job Description

Job Summary

Homecare Homebase has an opening for a full-time UI/UX Developer. This person should have a passion for creating delightful experiences including a strong visual design background, strong communications skills, ability to work independently, and be able to work in a fast-pasted environment. They will work with the UX team to develop a cross-platform Design System that supports rapid UI development across 15+ agile teams. They will assist and support teams with Design System usage and be the bridge between the design team and development. They will take wireframes to HTML/CSS prototypes to finished digital product, plus interact with the development team throughout the SDLC process. Our platform connects thousands of devices in near time to help clinicians make informed decisions. Ingesting hundreds of thousands of visits daily, we process, analyze, and communicate bi-directionally vast amounts of data across the continuum of the patient.

What You Will Do

  • HTML/CSS
  • JavaScript
  • Frontend Web Development
  • Develop reusable component sets that make up a Design System to scale cross-platform
  • Communicate documentation to 15+ agile teams on how to contribute to the Design System
  • Provide technical assistance related to the Design System and application front-end code as required
  • Create RAPID clickable prototypes
  • Work on multiple projects with deadlines
  • Be a self-motivated individual who can work with minimal direction



What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related area. A combination of education and experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree.
  • 3+ years' experience as a front-end developer.
  • 2+ years' experience as a UI/UX designer.
  • Expert knowledge of HTML5, CSS, CSS extension languages (Less, Sass), and CSS preprocessor tools.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates both JavaScript + Typescript proficiency and understanding of SOLID design principles (plugins, node packages, etc.).
  • Proficiency in common development tools like Git.
  • Experience with web components, web component JavaScript framework.
  • In-depth understanding of entire web development process (design, development, and deployment).
  • Understanding of layout aesthetics.
  • Experience interacting with SME's and users of varying technical abilities.
  • Development experience with Azure/Cloud technologies.
  • Understanding of Design Systems (such as Material Design).
