As a growing product design org, we’re looking for a passionate Senior Product Designer to solve complex problems in our homeowner account space. You’ll build and maintain beautiful, delightful and functional solutions to help Vacasa’s Homeowners manage their accounts.  As the Senior Product Designer, Homeowner Accounts, you’ll obsess over the homeowner experience, conducting user research, leading brainstorm sessions and collaborating closely with key product and engineering leads to execute user and business success.

What we’re looking for

  • At least 5+ years working experience as an IC designer on multiple products 
  • A body of work to showcase your ability to directly lead and contribute to modern product designs (bonus if there is experience in B2B spaces)
  • High standards for quality in both interaction and visual design 
  • Knowledge of new technologies and processes within product design WCAG requirements, Android, and iOS guidelines.
  • Critical thinker with clear design chops, and an excitement to understand the user 
  • A UX strategist who understands the value of establishing an approach before diving into the tactical.
  • A designer with no single process, but rather a playbook of research methods that can be adapted to work through the problem at hand.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Track-record of success working with a variety of cross-functional stakeholders and partners
  • Ability to thrive in a distributed, remote, and collaborative environment
  • Experience evangelizing true customer-centricity and inspiring alignment among teams with that vision
  • Ability to work from home and resides in one of the followings states: AK, AL, AZ, CA, DE, FL, GA, HI, ID, IL, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MT, NC, NH, NM, NV, NY, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI, or WY

How We Interview 

Bring your portfolio, case studies, and/or a walk-through of live/shipped work. We know you’re busy so there will be no homework or design tests. Our goal is to hire great applicants quickly by committing to a humane hiring process.

What you’ll do

  • Lead UX design for a variety of homeowner account projects, from discovery to workflow development, wireframes,high-fidelity mocks, prototypes, etc..
  • Build new products solving user problems that span multiple domains as well as refine current products – thinking through how to design the best experiences for homeowners 
  • Work closely with cross-functional team leaders in product and engineering to help define business and feature requirements, user scenarios and use cases
  • Transform complex and abstract concepts into well-articulated, tangible, elegant design solutions with a strong problem solving mindset
  • Use human-centered design methodologies and practices to elevate user-focused empathy to your team and stakeholders around you (via workshops, brainstorming sessions, whiteboard)
  • Iterate with designers, researchers, product managers and developers to quickly test our assumptions and move forward with acting on what we have learned

Compensation:

  • 100,000-145,000 DOE
