We’re looking for a versatile content strategist who excels at bringing clarity and life to digital products. Someone who has proven experience simplifying the complex to make product experiences easily understandable and delightful to use. 

Your job will be to elevate the voice of Vimeo’s products, grow a small but mighty team of UX Writers, and oversee the end-to-end experience of written content for Vimeo’s rapidly expanding product suite. You love both high-level strategy and hands-on writing for all contexts – web to native apps. And while partnering with designers, product managers, and product marketers, you’ll have a direct impact on Vimeo’s business success through the ownership of all in-product content across the Vimeo platform.

What you’ll do:

• Use language to solve problems and empower users to realize their creative vision
• Plan, write, edit, test, and write again in order to improve everything from interface language and micro copy to product names, navigational nomenclature, and product educational materials
• Develop and lead a cohesive content strategy that positively impacts user satisfaction, adoption, engagement, and conversion / retention metrics
• Be autonomous – you take ownership of your work, and take responsibility for every detail of your team’s work
• Establish and evolve Vimeo’s UX writing guidelines and the processes needed for others to collaborate and execute at scale
• Promote content strategy at every level within Vimeo, as well as the broader community of design and content professionals
• Be data informed by working with our data and research teams to test, measure, and optimize the team’s writing solutions
• Communicate your ideas, concepts, and “aha!” moments clearly to your teammates, and bring them into conversation on how to take our products to the next level
• Foster a culture of inclusivity and accessibility throughout our products

Skills and knowledge you should possess:

• 6+ years of experience as a content designer, content strategist, or Senior UX writer for digital products
• 2+  years of experience managing, mentoring, and coaching others in the craft of writing
• A solid understanding of UX writing and the foundational principles of interaction design
• A positive attitude and ability to clearly and concisely give feedback, as well as the growth mindset needed to receive feedback
• Portfolio of digital product work demonstrating relevant writing experience, writing process, and how your work was informed by data or research
