About the role
GoodRx is seeking a designer with expertise in infographics to bring our compelling content to life and help consumers understand complex medical and healthcare information. The ideal candidate has 3-7 years of experience in graphic and infographic design, preferably with a background or strong interest in health, healthcare, and health policy. You have a proven ability to transform complex information into appealing, digestible visuals, and will thrive as a member of our fast-paced, driven team of videographers, editors, project managers, researchers, and data analysts. You should be able to have conversations across these stakeholders that advance the presentation and comprehension of the data or information being displayed, and to look at a dataset or complex set of information and offer insightful and creative ways to display them. A deep knowledge of the latest techniques and trends in infographic design is a huge plus, as is comfort with a wide variety of data sources including on drug and healthcare prices, demographic and population trends, as well as assessments of disease risk and probability.
Responsibilities
- Work with editorial teams to conceptualize graphics, infographics, and other design elements for editorial, digital, video and social platforms.
- Support and maintain consistency of the brand across all formats
- Assist other team members with design creation and content edits/updates
- Contribute to the development of new visual concepts, graphics standards, and templates, as well as improved processes and workflow systems
- Assist other team members with design creation and content edits/updates
- Brainstorm and pitch new and innovative ways to engage audiences and communicate effectively through through graphic design
- Take complicated data points and turn them into high-impact, shareable graphics
- Share creative approaches to data-driven design with cross-functional team Use typography, color, and layouts to create modern, visually appealing designs
- Create design plans and manage graphic projects end-to-end Perform all other position-related duties as assigned or requested
- Propose visuals that add value to existing content Special projects as requested
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator, Figma, Sketch, InDesign, and other graphic design software
- Familiarity with HTML and CSS preferred
- Comfortable being a leader and a team player
- Passion for investigating the needs of different audiences
- Proficiency in optimizing for specific distribution channels like video, newsletters, social media, and SEO
- Takes initiative and is self-directed, but also thrives in collaborative settings
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Health or healthcare experience a big plus
