Sr. Environment Artist

About the role and about You:
Zwift is on the search for a talented & experienced Senior Environment Artist to help us build exciting worlds and player experiences. We’re looking for candidates who have a strong background in art fundamentals, asset creation, and development experience across mobile & PC. The ideal candidate will be highly collaborative and comfortable with a high level of autonomy.
What you’ll do:
- Collaborate with a team of artists and designers to create exciting and memorable worlds.
- Partner with Project managers and leads to ensure accurate scoping, scheduling, and on-time deliveries
- Work with tech artists and engineers to help improve toolsets and team pipelines.
What we’re looking for:
- 5+ years experience in game development as an environment artist, with multiple shipped titles on PC, console, and mobile
- Experience in concepting, modeling, and texturing environmental assets using Maya, Zbrush, Photoshop, and Substance Designer/Painter.
- A strong understanding of form, structure, and silhouette.
- Hands-on experience with one or more world-building editors (e.g., Unity, Unreal, home-grown)
- Self-motivated, excellent communication skills, and a great team player.
- Comfortable with ambiguity, a lightning-fast pace, and a high degree of ownership
- Finalists will be required to provide work samples and or complete an assignment
Bonus points:
- Experience working with a wide variety of game platforms
- Additional skill sets in illustration, character creation, and animation/rigging.
- Technically proficient and able to quickly learn and master new pipelines and toolsets.
- Interest in creating fun experiences for cycling, running, and overall fitness.
