Our Opportunity:

Chewy is looking for a Sr. Art Director to join our in-house Studio creative team based in Dania Beach, FL. The studio is looking for an exceptional hands-on Sr. Art Director to work with our Studio Associate Creative Director and help support incoming video requests via the marketing department. This team member will be working with a dynamic creative team and have the skillset to tackle multiple projects in a variety of video platforms to create brand storytelling video content.  You will collaborate with a team of videographers and stylists to create at-scale content in the studio.

You have extensive experience building consumer brands and identity systems across diverse touchpoints via e-commerce and social platforms. You have worked with both start-ups and established brands, and have successfully been a part of creative projects and teams. You’ll have a strong POV on creative storytelling, and are able to communicate this to your team & partners with clarity and conviction. The ideal candidate will be collaborative, engaged, and have a passion for our industry as well as a desire to create, learn and explore emerging trends while aligning with our core brand vision. You will have created brand storytelling content in multiple digital platforms including YouTube, Tik Tok, Instagram and Facebook.

What you'll do:

  • Work directly with Associate Creative Director on new, scalable templated content as well as bespoke videos for multiple platforms. Work directly on procedures and processes to support the creative direction and maintain consistency
  • Ideate and oversee projects through all aspects of production, from concept to completion and ensure quality is up to brand standards
  • Work seamlessly with our videographers, stylists and post teams to communicate and uphold the visual language of the creative of website/social/brand video and cross platform campaigns
  • Support the Studio workflow with development and delivery of video projects in partnership with all other studio produciton teams (brand, digital, marketing, product, etc.)
  • Provide creative and effective solutions that ladders up to the Chewy brand
  • Be a pitch deck connoisseur - communicating a clear visual story through the use of storyboards, mood boards and words.
  • Push the creative while understanding the needs of the brand and the strategy behind a brief
  • Collaboratively build and expand upon the vision and ideas of others to create something bigger
  • Be responsible for the overall quality of work for your projects
  • Maintain brand guidelines and design standards

What you'll need:

As the Sr. Art Director, you will be making sure all facets of your creative projects and process are running smoothly and efficiently. Your primary responsibility is to help lead, organize, and focus the creative video deliverables with the projects you are responsible for.

You’ll need a natural ability to create strong and effective internal partnerships amongst cross functional teams, and be able to thrive in a dynamic deadline driven environment. You will need to have the instinctual ability to see challenges before they arise, troubleshoot and pivot as needed.

  • 5+ years of experience with an in-house creative team or advertising agency
  • Video and post-production experience a must
  • Be immersed and knowledgeable in current trending design, content and culture
  • 2+ years working with a creative and production team
  • 2+ years of experience in an Art Director or Sr. Art Director role
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, utilize resources, stay organized, identify and address problems and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with software applications used for advertising, such as but not limited to Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, PowerPoint, Google Docs/Slides/Sheets and project management tools.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; a team player, positive and problem solver
  • Motivated and a take initiative mentality; ability to work independently, in support of Marketing’s creative goals and Chewy’s business objectives
