Overview 

We are looking for a Senior Web Designer to join our Corporate Brand Team. This designer will help us build beautifully designed, engaging web experiences that will support and accelerate digital strategies across our global marketing team. This will include designing and maintaining websites, landing pages, and marketing assets for the web (code as necessary). In addition to hands-on design work, this role will also be expected to help build and fine-tune AvePoint’s corporate web strategy by implementing best practices that will help drive leads through user-friendly, conversion-focused design.

What will you be doing? 

The ideal Senior Web Designer is a pro at multi-tasking and works exceptionally well with a global team of developers and senior stakeholders that influence content for the web. They have a passion for modern and unique design trends and understand how user experience impacts our relationship with a company, product, or service.

This role will answer to the Creative Director but will work closely with Marketing and Business Group leadership to develop and maintain ownership of AvePoint web properties.

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Conceptualize, design, present and execute forward-thinking creative digital design and web experiences, including websites, landing pages, email templates, and more.
  • Help build and improve template files and design guidelines that build out our design system
  • Manage website and perform continual maintenance (content, design, animations, and other functions)
  • Front-end development to include coding responsively (mobile-first)
  • Collaborate with Global Marketing, Product, Event, PR, and Design teams to conceptualize and develop landing pages and a full range of web assets for campaigns, product launches, and events.
  • Collaborate with and present web design concepts to cross-functional teams using words and visuals
  • Understand and demonstrate principles of web and graphic design for layout, production, typography, and photography

Other qualities you’ll need to be a fit for this role include: 

  • 5+ years of proven experience working with established brands, using, extending, and building web design systems
  • Online portfolio or website displaying past/ongoing web design work (required for consideration)
  • Design-level familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related web technologies; enough to collaborate with front-end developers during handoff and quality assurance
  • Advanced knowledge of web design and prototyping tools, including Adobe Creative Cloud
    • Must know: Adobe XD, Photoshop
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office 365 platform
    • Must know: Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
    • Good to know: Teams, SharePoint
  • Strong understanding of typography, photography, color, and composition as it applies to web design
  • Experience with email design, responsive design, and coding (mobile-first approach)

Skills That Will Help You Stand Out:

  • Ability to seek out and implement the latest creative UX design trends, techniques, and technologies
  • Experience designing for accessibility, and testing for usability
  • Understanding of SEO and Google Analytics
  • Ability to complete tasks independently, and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills for both creative ideas/development and presentations.
  • Ability to self-manage deadlines on numerous concurrent projects.
  • Bonus Points:
    • Sass and Gulp (or other preprocessor) experience
    • Experience with JS
    • Experience working on a Content Management System (CraftCMS specifically)
    • SVN experience
    • Hands-on skills in illustration, infographics, interactive content, and other popular trends in web design and media
