ABOUT THE ROLE:

Our design team is small but growing. As a senior UX designer/researcher, you will play a critical role in optimizing and scaling the products and offerings. We are seeking an exceptional senior UX designer/researcher who will help guide and inspire cross-functional teams by uncovering meaningful human-centered insights to drive great design and innovation for our product team. Your work will be vital to how we understand the needs of our members, clients, and internal operations to define a product roadmap that effectively addresses our users’ key problems.

You will be responsible for helping shape and execute research strategy, working closely with partners to understand the largest challenges and opportunities we face. You are highly collaborative, with a strong record of influencing outcomes and proposing well-informed new directions. You will utilize your unique knowledge and talent to drive actionable insights that help guide decisions as we create engaging, beautiful, and customer-focused experiences for the next generation of data analysts.

In this role, you'll help execute each phase of the design process—from research, synthesis, and ideation, to UX and visual design. Our ideal candidate has a passion for serving others in need and delivering complex care operations at scale. Someone who will listen to users' needs to yield insights that inform product strategy and guide design. We appreciate people who think deeply, speak clearly, and embrace collaboration and feedback.

  • Build, promote, and champion, a research-based culture across our product team.
  • Immerse yourself in the users' journeys.
  • Have an outstanding ability to synthesize disparate information, including qualitative observations as well as quant and data/analytics. Drive unique insights into our teams and offer meaningful a-ha moments that weren't otherwise known.
  • Help teams see outcomes based on research-informed actions through highly-impactful research finding readouts, direct inclusion of stakeholders, and facilitation of synthesis/actioning workshops. Provide outstanding, stakeholder-centered research support in key areas of the business.
  • Identify research opportunities, create research plans, execute the research, and bring the right stakeholders along for the ride.
  • Continuously gather knowledge about user’s needs through various channels (e.g. shadowing health guides, member interviews, etc.).
  • Design and conduct remote research utilizing a mixed methods approach including in-depth interviews, surveys, and concept/prototype testing.
  • Synthesize all feedback into actionable recommendations.
  • Present findings and recommendations to cross-functional partners, leadership, and key stakeholders.
  • Maintain and suggest evolutions of our existing framework with holistic consideration of the platform's future.
  • Produce sitemaps, user flows, wireframes, and visual design deliverables on a variety of projects.
  • Work quickly and iteratively while relying on research and feedback to inform design decisions.
  • Work closely with engineering to ensure a high-quality implementation and user experience.

WHO YOU ARE:
