The Senior UX Designer will work closely with the Director of Application Development to standardize design patterns used on customer facing applications and will work closely with Product Owners to create amazing user experiences. This role requires an eye for clean design, possessing superior UI skills and being able to translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and artifacts, and transform them into functional user interfaces. This is an exciting role and opportunity to be a member of a fast-growing business and has a direct impact on the technology direction and growth of the business.

 Responsibilities: 

• Work closely with product owners and developers to scope and deliver projects 
• Create prototypes to catch design weaknesses and perform usability testing 
• Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering 
• Provide insights and incorporate feedback into product designs 
• Determine and create touchpoints for user interactions 
• Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas 
• Utilize your knowledge of responsive design to account for various screen sizes 
• Develop style guides so that each product design adheres to its own look and feel throughout the project process 
• Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards 
• Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders 

What we look for: 

• 5+ years UI experience 
• 5+ years of experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps 
• A portfolio that reflects your strengths in both UX and visual design skills, including multiple shipped projects on which you were the primary designer
• Proficiency in Sketch, Figma, or other visual design and wire-framing tools 

• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for rapid prototyping. 
• Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction 
• Ability to present and communicate your designs and sell your solutions to various stakeholders. 
• Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively 
• Up to date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies 
• ability to think holistically about complex systems, empathize with users, and understand goals to create compelling user experiences.

• BS/MS in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or related 
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
