We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior UX Designer to join our dynamic team and take charge of designing exceptional learning experiences for our compliance training e-learning platform. As the Senior UX Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the learner’s user experience, driving user engagement, and ensuring a seamless and intuitive learning journey for our learners. Your expertise in user-centered design principles, e-learning platforms, and instructional design will be essential in creating an innovative and impactful learning environment.
This is a remote, US-based role (Eastern Time Zone).
- Lead and manage the entire UX design process, from research and conceptualization to prototyping, testing, and implementation, with a focus on delivering outstanding learning experiences.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, instructional designers, developers, architectural designers, and content creators, to gather requirements and translate them into effective design solutions.
- Develop user journey maps, wireframes, and interactive prototypes to visualize and communicate design concepts and interactions effectively.
- Apply best practices in user-centered design, accessibility, and instructional design principles to create intuitive and engaging interfaces and interactions.
- Conduct regular design reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to ensure consistent quality and alignment with project goals.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, emerging technologies, and industry standards in e-learning platforms and user experience design and apply this knowledge to enhance the learning experience.
- Champion user advocacy and promote a culture of continuous improvement by advocating for user-centered design methodologies, conducting design workshops, and fostering collaboration among team members.
- Monitor and analyze user feedback, usage data, and learning analytics to identify areas for improvement and optimize the learning experience.
- Stay informed about competitive products and market trends, conducting competitor analysis to identify opportunities and potential differentiators for our platform.
- Assist in user research, such as developing user personas, interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gain insights into learner behaviors, needs, and pain points, and incorporate findings into the design process.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, UX Design, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a UX Designer, UX Lead, or similar role, preferably in the e-learning or educational technology industry.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating a solid foundation in user-centered design methodologies, including research, prototyping, and user testing.
- Proficiency in Figma, and a solid understanding of how to work in Figma efficiently using components, component libraries and styles
- Solid understanding of instructional design principles and familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
- Strong knowledge of web and mobile application design patterns, usability principles, and accessibility guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present and articulate design concepts and rationale to stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a multidisciplinary team of designers, developers, and content creators towards a shared vision. Proven experience in leading design projects, managing priorities, and fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
Target base salary range for this job requisition is anticipated to be $104,800 to $157,200 annualized.
We also offer participation in the Company Bonus Program and full benefits. The company may modify salaries, salary ranges and/or Pay Plans from time to time as it deems necessary.
