Job Description Chase is looking for highly motivated Product / UX Designers, with a high level of emotional maturity to engage with others, leveraging user-centered design expertise to meet customer and business needs with useful, usable, and desirable products for Design and Customer Experience (dCE) Authentication. We embrace the philosophy that web and mobile financial management tools should demonstrate the same care and craft as consumer software, designed with contemporary user- and human-centered practices.
Product / UX Designers demonstrate proficiency in the end-to-end design process-from research and strategy, to prototyping, testing, and delivery of final designs. We are not expecting people to be brilliant at everything, but we do presume some comfort throughout the design process, plus a desire to continually broaden and improve your skills. Product / UX Designers are self-motivated professionals who are comfortable owning relationships and outcomes, great UI design and confident when presenting their work to stakeholders.
Product / UX Designers are part of a core experience team which includes experience researchers and content designers, all committed to designing the future of financial services. Product / UX Designers are expected to be strong partners with cross-functional Product, Technology, and Insights team partners to prioritize, plan, and make decisions along the way from discovery to execution. The end goal is being accountable and equally important, celebrating the creation of successful design solutions that work for both the business and customers across Chase's ecosystem.

  • Work under the guidance of the UX Design Lead and with Product Management and UX Research and Content Strategy to contribute to product requirements, including specifying desired outcomes
  • Advocate for the users' perspective when collaborating with Product Managers and Engineers to plan roadmaps, gather requirements, and structure the work
  • Ideation and prototyping to explore different options, including unexpected, but still workable solutions
  • Diagram the interactivity of the product ecosystem, including omnichannel service and feature interactions, with user flows and wireframes
  • Detailed design, built upon our Design System, that brings our solutions to life
  • Contribute to our Design System as needed
  • Advocate for Accessibility and Inclusive Design practices
  • Incorporate data and business understanding into design decisions
  • Support recruiting processes, reaching out to potential candidates, taking part in interviews

Our Desired Profile

  • Degree in relevant design discipline (e.g., Interaction Design, HCI, User Experience Design), or similar accelerated learning program, 5 or more years of equivalent work experience
  • Shipped multiple successful digital products
  • Self-directed; in both planning and structuring your effort, and executing and expected levels of quality, you don't need someone guiding you through the work
  • Demonstrated experience with user-centered and human-centered design approaches
  • Prior work involves collaboration within design teams (with other designers, UX researchers, and content designers) and cross-functionally with product managers and software engineers
  • Advanced skills in Interaction Design as well as either Visual/UI Design or Information Architecture
  • Intermediate ability in adjacent skills such as Prototyping in Figma
  • Understands how design work connects with authentication technology and broader business value
  • Able to show how their understanding of technical constraints and opportunities inform design solutions, familiar with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
