Where and how you can work

Our flagship campus is in Sydney, Australia but in Aotearoa, we have a hub in Auckland that we call home to our local operations. And with that, you have choice in how and where you work. That means if you want to do your thing at our Auckland hub (if you're nearby) or at home or a bit of both, it's up to you.

As a Content Designer in Canva your mission is to help our users fulfill their goals with clarity and joy.


Your focus will be on systems, not just sentences. You'll create and improve flows, not just the words. You'll seek to have deep impact on key areas, not just shallow impact everywhere.

You’ll audit some of the key experiences of Canva, including navigation, home pages, and filtering, with a particular focus on empty states and localization


You’ll align with product teams on significant upcoming launches that impact users, focusing on product naming and aligning onboarding

You’ll shape the future of navigation, helping create seamless movement across Canva

You’ll drive collaboration and alignment of content on the homepage, working with partners across the business, including marketing and brand teams

You’ll tackle complex content opportunities around filtering, menu navigation, and setting

You’ll work closely with research and design to uncover opportunities for better content management for large business

You're probably a match if

• You’re a senior UX Content Designer who’s got a proven track record of solving complex problems. This means you have at least5 years of content design or UX writing experience.
• You've worked on IA and navigation challenges, balancing naming, user best practices, and research to deliver new experiences
• You’ve owned Content Design research before and can champion best practices for studies and experiments in the messaging space.
• You have incredible UX writing skills and an impressive content design portfolio, and are a stickler for brand voice, consistency and style.

• The Teams & Education supergroup is on a mission to power up design to enable learning, creativity, collaboration, and productivity. This year Team's Content Management group is on a mission to Inspire everyone to visually communicate and stay organised. Our group is doubling down on a number of critical initiatives to help us achieve our company-level strategy of driving teams and collaboration in Canva. We want to make Canva the tool that every team big and small wants to use to collaborate and communicate everyday - from kindergarten to the workplace.
