We are currently seeking a Senior UI Designer to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina (US-NC), United States (US).

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • We are looking for an experienced and talented UI designer to design and shape unique, user-centric products and experiences.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience working in agile teams, with developers, UX designers and copywriters.
  • You will be able to make deliberate design decisions and to translate any given user-experience journey into a smooth and intuitive interaction.
  • Conceptualize original user interface design ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex roadblocks
  • Communicate interaction and design ideas by creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps
  • Create and produce graphic materials using a range of media, methods, techniques, and equipment
  • Create original graphic design and comprehensive visual concepts, including banners, layouts, posters, advertisements, etc.
  • Determine which photographs, art, or other design elements to use and properly prepare for intended media
  • Collaborate with user experience teams to uncover user needs -- then work together to translate those needs into intuitive and engaging experiences
  • Advocate for the user through human-centered design methods, ensuring our products, systems and services serve their needs
  • Work with the UX Research team to understand customer needs and define what is needed visually throughout the user experience using methods such as card sorting and tree testing, as well as usability studies
  • Partner with cross functional stakeholders to understand user experience requirements
  • Stay abreast of evolving user experience practices to proactively identify and recommend opportunities to enhance business processes and tools
    User Research
  • Advocate for the user through human-centered design methods, ensuring our products, systems and services serve their needs.
  • 5+ years of experience and proven track record.
  • Hands-on experience creating wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, user flows, etc.
  • Experience using tools such as Photoshop, Sketch, Illustrator, InVision, UXPin, Quartz.
  • Experience with eCommerce or Landing Page Design is a bonus
  • Understanding of basic front-end languages: HTML5, CSS3 Javascript.
  • You have a strong understanding of design elements (such as composition, color, and typography), and you know how to apply that understanding to design intuitive site functionality, interaction, user interfaces, and navigation
  • You're capable of designing for a broad range of clients and their diverse audiences and needs
  • You're willing and able to perform UX activities and user research to guide and support your design thinking
  • You have excellent communication and collaboration skills within cross-disciplinary teams
  • Working closely with creative teams and developers to ensure the solidity of design systems is kind of your thing
  • You are familiar with emerging platforms and passionate about keeping up with new technologies and industry trends
  • You're a hard worker that is willing to put your head down and tackle the hard stuff - but you're no hero
  • You know when to call for reinforcements and find strength in the team
  • Passion for translating abstract concepts into simple and elegant user interfaces
  • Respect for best UX practices and human-centered design
  • Experience working in an agile/scrum development process.
  • Creative ideas with a problem solving mindset.
  • Self-motivated, attentive to details, and accountable for your work and be open to receiving objective criticism and improving upon it.
  • Minimum experience on the skills required: 5 to 6 years


Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Illustrator
  • 5+ years of experience in Wireframes
