ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Designer who enjoys weaving creative problem solving and data with technical accuracy to create amazing products in a dynamic, fast paced environment. You will be responsible for owning multiple product categories, managing at least one direct report, and ensuring fit and quality standards are well-executed and consistent across all styles.

YOU'RE EXCITED ABOUT THIS POSITION BECAUSE YOU WILL...

  • Managing product category fit sessions and working closely with Product Development partners to execute fit intent
  • Utilize innovative technology including 2D & 3D pattern software, PLM system, and data platforms.
  • Leverage client feedback to establish fit consistency, determine trouble areas and implement product action plans
  • Develop, implement and maintain category quality, construction standards and fit blocks
  • Lead and develop at least one direct report and coach/mentor more junior level Technical Designers
  • Build close relationships with cross-functional team members and external vendors, leverage team member expertise, and provide feedback when appropriate
  • Create and seize opportunities to lead special project initiatives and support drive speed to market

WE'RE EXCITED ABOUT YOU BECAUSE YOU:

  •  You have a deep expertise and understanding of the fit and technical construction in multi product categories for core/ plus size
  • You are an excellent multi-tasker, extremely detail oriented, and possess exceptional organizational skills
  • You are passionate about using data science and client feedback to help improve overall quality and fit of garments
  • You bring advanced expertise in the following: Textiles, pattern making, grading, construction, and pattern terminology
  • You have experience working with factories and have an understanding of production timelines, equipment, and garment construction options
  • You can problem solve and adapt to a fast-paced work environment
  • You are fluent in MS Office, Google Suite, Adobe Illustrator, and have strong experience in Optitex 2D pattern software and PLM systems
  • You have a B.A./B.S. from a 4-year university with a major in a relevant field (i.e. Fashion Design, Pattern Making, Textiles, etc) with 8+ years of technical design experience in the apparel industry
  • You are able to work 2-3 days/week on average from our HQ in San Francisco, CA beginning January 24, 2022.
